My 6.5x54 is finally being allowed into South Africa being exported along with her friends from the UK. This after 228 phone calls to our firearms department to find out the export permits progress, managed to get through to reception 10 times and through to the lady responsible twice, but Africa is not for sissies so we plod on. My question chaps I purchased brass in the UK and bought loaded Kyncoch cartridges which is Norma brass I have no trouble loading the norma brass but the other unknown brass has a different rim thickness it measures 0.054 whilst the norma's rim thickness is 0.042, the unknown brass is stamped H X P 69 Not all the unknown brass however have such thick rims some are okay, any thoughts on origin and what can I do with them to make them shootable? |
