For several years now I've been looking for a nice example of a Mod 1910 to add to my collection. I thought I had found one recently (Holts) to place a bid on. It looks very nice, but on enquiring about matching numbers they told me the bolt, receiver, stock and cocking piece all have different numbers! It's been my experience that Mannlichers with mis matched bolt and receiver numbers don't feel "right" so my search for a decent 9.5 continues. Just interested to hear your views and experiences on this subject? Why is it that every component of some Mannlicher examples have matching numbers, while others seem to be "parts" guns? Cheers. GG |
