Thanks kuduae and 500N. Interesting to hear the history on these mounts. I still am partial to the claw mount, esp on the MS-actioned rifle although I do appreciate what they do to keep the scope low to the bore axis. Kuduae where in Germany are you? I did an exchange year (Parliamentarische Patenschafts Programm) in '92-'93. Spent a month in Tubingen then lived in Magdeburg and finally Braunschweig for the next 12 mos-perhaps your neck of the woods?
