Re: Where have all the Hornady 9.5mm 270 grain RN bullets gone?

I sectioned a 225gr. Hornady SP - close to 1/16" jacket thickness. Should be a wonderful bullet, by Rod's testing and the deer he shot with it.

I-too lament the passing of the RN by Hornady. Their spire point works well on moose and the 9.5x57 should get 2,300fps as my M46 Husky does in 9.3x57 with a 270gr. I also get 2,175fps with a Hornady RN 300gr. sized down. The Hornady 300gr. Interbond is also a good one for the lower velocity, cup pointed or left as-is.

Another good .375 bullet for lower speeds and heavy game is the 235gr. Speer. Driven about 2,450fps from the 9.5x57, it should be a great performer according to the tests.
