Thanks heaps for that. The drawing certainly looks very similar to the scope on my rifle. I'm damned if I can find any other markings on it except those I've mentioned above - perhaps there are some under the rings but I don't want to go there!!

How do you find the muzzle blast from the 20" barreled 9.5? Is it a problem, or is it not so bad with the low pressure and low velocity? I owned a 20" barreled .270 Win for quite a few years and I reckon it is the reason for my loss of hearing in my left ear.

The reason I ask is that I know where there is a lovely 1910 take down with a 20" barrel but I have always shied away from buying it because of my fear of doing yet more damage to my hearing.
