Tom: I couldn't pull up the pix so I'm taking the fellow's word that it is a Stoeger import. Is it an old AI action? Must be if it is a Stoeger. If so, I sold tons of them in various calibers to .375 in the plain hunter grade and regular rifles in the Finnbear grade. GREAT rifle. BTW: To me, a "Mannlicher" is a true Mannlicher. These guns merely have a long fore stock, but THAT doesn't take a thing away from them. So what...the old SAKO is a GREAT action, and one that doesn't get its just deserts. I have a .375 I'll not part with, and I wish I had a stable full of them. Did I mention it is a great rifle?? SAKO should have stuck with the old action IMO, it was a classic, totally reliable. I really like them. Not sure what they go for these days, but did I mention it is a GREAT rifle...??? ![]() |
