Hey Curl: I'm not a fan of white-line spacers either, as you know, and used to remove them if possible on the rare occasion of acquiring a rifle so-adorned. Lately I have put them back, appreciating them as a characteristic of the era in which the particular rifle made its mark. Perhaps the 'collector' in me is finally winning-out over the 'practical shooter'... In a post-WWII MS like that one, white-line spacers are something of a hallmark. If you do remove them, I would suggest keeping them in a safe place rather than chucking them away! |
