That is nice. I really don't like the white-lines, but it is still a nice rifle. The barrel seems heavier than normal. Is that standard for a magnum ctg. barrel?

Looks like it might have a reasonably long barrel?
The idiot gunmakers who made .264's or 6.5x68's and then put a 24 inch barrel on them were idiots. They need a minimum of 650 mm or 25 1/2/26 inch barrels.

Congratulations on your really nice rifle that looks to be in excellent condition; the stock is really in the 70's Californian style! The .264 is an excellent calibre, not such common in Europe, where late production MS were mainly offered 6,5x68 with 65 cm barrels; at this time MS in Europe were also offered in 8x68S. Louis

That is why I am considering re-chambering my .260 Rem to 6.5x68. My buddy has the reamer and the rifle has a 26" Jeff Lawrence Barrel on it.
