I have never owned a mannlicher, or even handled one in the flesh. But I was looking at a MS exploded drawing online and I noticed there is no conventional ejector like one would see on a mauser, or virtually every other bolt gun. I had a time wrapping my head on how it worked... It it less reliable than other ejectors? Bettter? How does it work? How come no one uses something similar? Just curious... |

Wes350 The Mannlicher ejector fits over the right locking lug and is dovetailed into the bolt head. It slides foreward when the left lug hits the bolt stop and kicks out the cartridge cas/cartridge. Doesn't need a spring to function and will not become mis-aligned or bent. Works well. Bill |
