Re: Lee Speed at Auction

I guess it depends on who is looking at the bore condition and what experience THEY have.
I bought a 9.3x57 from Tradeexcanada years ago for $275.00 CDN. The bore was listed as fair, dark, 'some" pitting.
After receiving the rifle, I cleaned the bore, something it looked like hadn't been done for years.
The bore was quite lovely, no pitting & not "dark". With my 3x9x40 Burris, it shot everything from 232 to 300gr. into an inch
or better at 100 meters. My bro now owns that rifle as his modern moose rifle, loaded with 286gr. Alaskan Norma RN's at 2,200fps.
