Removable butt stock, or other ideas for a takedown build?

The 303 post got me thinking, I've never actually owned one but I've always wanted one, it might be time to buy build one but there's a problem.
Since I switched to break open only I just cant fit one in the safe, so I was thinking about getting one with the military butt stock so I could take it of, if I had a carbine one then it would fit in my safe.
But from what I've seen you should remove the front wood 1st to stop the nut threading the wood it sits in.
I was thinking about pinning or lightly welding the nut to the action so I could just open the brass butt plat and s rew it off.
Would that work or is their a better way to make one into a take down.

Now this would just be a pig gun and I planned on scoping it so I don't want to do it to an actual Lee speed, but if I otherwise made one that was 90% Lee speed but just not 100% faithful it might be perfect with a 1-4 spot hog scope.

I was thinking of getting an original or close enough sporter style, no checkering, military sling, period correct open sights and a no drill scope mount with a fish belly pattern magazine.
That might be the best way to get the rifle that would suite me without altering a real one, and getting the best modern use from one.
