Went to my local gunshop last week and on their counter was a Lee Speed they were in the process of buying. I expressed an interest and came home with it the next day (lucky enough to have a dealers licence so no waiting for purchase approvals). Limited knowledge so far but it is a BSA with Army & Navy CSL on the dustcover and is in the No.2 pattern. Serial in the 26### range an has the grip/top safety and probably has about 60 to 70% original finish. Can anyone tell me what the alpha numeric code (4 digits) under the BSA name on the right hand receiver strap means? Will put some pictures up once I work out how to do it. Steve.
