[image]https://flic.kr/p/2ebmpaz[/image] Here's a Lee Speed I picked up a few months ago. Unfortunately it is not 100% original, but what the heck. It hasn't got the original fore end, which also has a chunk out of it, but the rest seems original. The rest is not too bad considering it's age, the barrel is pretty worn but it shot OK'ish when I gave it a bloody good clean and relieved the barrel lug hole in the fore end. It's a .303 but has a barrel lug the missfitting fore end was applying a lot of upward pressure on the barrel which didn't help the accuracy issues. The dust cover is nicely engraved with the makers name and address and has the usual engraving that Lee Speeds do. I'll just keep it as it is for now, until it starts shooting bad and then decide what to do. I have an old BSA Lee Speed barreled action with a good barrel that is going to have a very piece of Franqeutte Walnut swinging off it shortly. Just in case you'e interested the top riflle is my 6.5x53R double rifle and the bottom is my 12G 3 1/2" Paradox |
