The logic in that evades me. Why should a soft point bullet with a heavy jacket designed for higher velocities and resists expansion at slower velocity, suddenly be very fast expanding with hole drilled in its nose, at that same slower velocity.

Perhaps, at the higher velocities the bullet is designed for expansion is accelerated by the hole.

Of course I confess I never tried it to find out.
