Thank you for that and I totally understand your frustration. Without sharing too many details and reading between the lines, I believe this rifle was originally destined to be destroyed by the powers that be (enough said). Something I think you are sadly all too familiar with Down Under. Needless to say the fact that it has now been rescued (all be it with a trashed barrel) is still quite remarkable.

I thought you chaps might enjoy a more 'sympathetic' photograph!
