Hello LE, I measured up some Woodleigh 215 gr RNSP. Here are the details: Overall length - 1.225" Width at base - 0.312" & this continues for 0.400" until it starts to taper The jacket length is 1.190" & this is where the lead RN is exposed. Width of exposed lead tip at this point is 0.220" For comparison I measured an original Kynoch 215 gr RNSP (I was lucky enough to come across a good supply of these and according to the original source they date from pre-WW2s, there were also some 192 gr HP). They are more streamlined than the Woodleigh version. OL - 1.275" Width at base - 0.311" and this continues for 0.500" until starts to taper Jacket length to exposed lead nose - 1.235" and the lead RN tip is 0.145" at this point. Depending on the dimensions of your .303s bore you should check out the range of moulds at Cast Bullet Engineering. I use one of their oversize GC designs (210 gr with my alloy) in an old single shot with groove of .315". Hope this helps with your quest. Good Luck! Spud |
