Those little shotguns are good for kids. Safer than a .22 as the range is far less if there is something in the background.

Good for learning to shoot well, only one shot usually.

And also while often aimed, can still teach some proper shotgunning skills.

I learned with a .410 side by side and enjoyed it a lot.
