John, this is a purpose built little action. The barrel and receiver are 2 pieces, fitted very well. Look at the picture of the chamber stamping's. The parting line is right at the "410"
In the right light the receiver is "plum" and the barrel "blue".

You may have convinced me to keep it........at least for a little while longer
