Re: A Lee Speed ( with a bit of work)????

Most people would see your find as something to be cobbled together into a beater rifle at best.
If its not the latest wizbang magnum wrapped up in stainless and tupperware most of todays hunters do not see the potential in a project such as yours.
Classic styles of rifles takes a special person to appreciate.
Good luck on this journey and keep us updated with your progress.

Well my Sako Mosin sporter project (worlds greatest mosin thread) is on temporary hold as I am waiting for my custom low bolt handle to be finished. Last night watching NHL Hockey I started to hand polish the action but a long way to go .Also fitted a discreet scope base in rear stripper clip area (see picture) and will add another to front receiver ring to accommodate Talley double lever rings. I want to keep the rear long range sight which is quite excellent but will also add short range express sights to the rifle. I believe NECG makes a British type front sight also. What I really need is Lee Speed type wood and cant really find a supplier of this pattern.
