I stripped off the black paint. Shortened the forend by a couple inches. Got rid of the monte carlo rollover cheek piece and reshaped into a shadow line. Finally rubbed in a MinWax stain and oil, "jacobean" color. Likely looks better here than in real life due to my wife's high skill with the digital camera. We'll do a full photo shoot when the whole rifle is ready.
