Bubbles: Look forward to seeing the photos, another hopelessly addicted Lee Speed junkie here too! Shame about the replacement barrel. One of the nicest features of the No.1 pattern is the full-length flat-top rib, I don't suppose they went to the trouble of salvaging that and refitting to the heavy Mk.III tube? One of my LSs has a retro-fitted heavy barrel, but it was a bog-standard No.3 pattern originally so can probably be put right anytime if I so desired. Shoots very well though, and the first centrefire I actually owned! It was given to me at age 13 by my father, so it can stay as it is for a while! |
