I had a couple of private messages regarding my boar hunting trip so I thought I would just share a post with everyone We hunted Thursday night, all day Friday, and finally got my boar on Saturday, November 8. It rained most of the time. We knew where they were feeding and bedding down at night. Man, they cause a TON of damage...wow! We didn't want to spoil the area with scent. We hunted from ground blinds like we would for deer but never got a shot because they were always out of range and blocked by brush. Finally, we decided to push them off of the beds and do a good old fashioned deer drive. We stayed at my buddy's property and hunted his uncle's 500 acre property. He also raises Yaks! Bradford County Pennsylvania is really being taken over by these things. I shot this one with my .270 Weatherby as it was passing through the bottoms at 80 yards with a 140 grain Nosler Accubond through the left shoulder. The bullet exited out of the right side. The thing skidded to a stop, sat back on it's rump, fell to the side, and never moved. It weighed 180 lbs and had a really nice thick coarse coat and a heavy mane. It went to a taxidermist.
