You are dead on in your thoughts on the wolf. There is NO way the average "hunting season" will reduce the numbers..first of all, the average hunter can not take that much time off work. In addition, the wolves are hanging around typically off the main beaten path.. hunters will have to work to get the wolves--again, the average hunter will use that time for hunting elk, deer or whatever to fill their freezers versus hunting these--if there are still elk, deer, etc left in that area.. There are too many wolves to control at this point and other methods will have to be implemented to have a noticable effect.. Ripp |
