We have Hazel Grouse here too. Although not a lot. In Norwegian they are called "Jerpe". In fact, I saw one just a few days ago while moose hunting.

Apparently Hazel Grouse aren't very smart. This one flew straight into the side of our house, and was found laying on the terrace!

It's now hanging in the cool room to tenderize.
