Nice bird and nice caliber! I presume they are as tasty as our Black Grouse? Do you usually hunt them with a rifle, or do you sometimes use a shotgun? Dogs? What does the terrain/vegetation look like where they live?

We have Hazel Grouse here too. Although not a lot. In Norwegian they are called "Jerpe". In fact, I saw one just a few days ago while moose hunting.
