Johan, As always, things are complicated in my small, overpopulated and over-politicized country. Games laws differ in Flanders (Dutch speaking) and Wallonie (French speaking). My hunting lease straddles the regional border, so go figure (different openings, 2 regional hunting licences, etc.). However, our wooded area lies on the Flemish side and thus we are imposed a legal shooting plan (min-max, fawns, does and bucks). Kits and does open from 15/01 to 15/03 (8-4 to be harvested) and bucks from 15/05 to 15/09 (5 planned). It's buck period now and so far 2 have been shot. Between our 5 associates, we agreed to shoot one buck each until 1/09 and thereafter, it's first see, first shoot for the shooting plan has to be completed. BTW, I mostly stalk / highseat roes with my 7x64 Sauer 202, which isn't used on anything else. I prefer my 9,3's for bigger beasts. |
