These bears need to have some fear of man.

I visited a "bear park" where bears had been relocated. Near Brasov I think it was. Many of the bears had been relocated from the mountain above Brasov. From where they used to enter the city below and harass residents.

Some ninety bears in the "bear" park. On the way to the viewing box where pork skins was fed to the bears, several kms walk through the forest,, the idiot guide and youthful tourists walked way ahead. My wife couldn't keep up, we ended up hundreds of metres behind. I don't know if either the guide or the forester were armed at all.

It's not as if the brown bears might come from only one direction, to the regular feeding place and time ...
