They are, I like the RB in the tight country but slugs are a, bit more forgiving if you have to shoot past 50m.
When you jump a mob in cover and they just burst out everywhere then there's nothing better then a shotgun, I always preferred the 44mag for the best blend of mild recoil, range and stopping power but the shotgun is definitely more fun in tight country and more effective.
