Very unfortunate hunter, bad luck to have femoral artery severed and no-one nearby with first-aid knowledge to get onto the pressure-point in the groin, or strap him up.

Sure, they're not dumb like sheep, and can even be trained to do some remarkable stuff, but grunting and rolling in mud is not exactly a beacon of enlightenment.
