Generally these associations are awarded auction lots by the National Forestry Office (ONF) which manages the state territory.
I have been hunting this way since the seventies and I'm lucky to get myself a beautiful and difficult hunting lot in our beloved mountains since 1993.
Our association is limited to ten members and we take guests according to the hunting plan (number, sex and ages of the animals to be taken).
I have the great pleasure to welcome passionate isard hunters, the isard being the chamois (rupicapra pyrenaica) that can only be found on a portion of the Pyrenean mountain range.
Alas this mythical game excites the "collector hunters" who are ready to overpay tags to add this trophy to their collection….but territory and hunting are still difficult enough to calm some would be hunters!
