Congratulations on your nice hunt and superb pictures, Rigby Mauser.
For our non-European peers, not familiar with European history, Eastern Prussia (Ostpreußen) was the home of German-speaking tribes since the early Middle Ages and the city of Königsberg was founded in mid-13th century by the Teutonic Knights. In 1945 most of the German population fled the Soviet Army and those that had remained were expelled during the following years. The city of Königsberg was renamed Kaliningrad by the Soviet after WW2 and Eastern Prussia territory was shared between the USSR and Poland.
