The point I was trying to make is that people don't have to spend a lot of money to find good hunting with all the information available on the internet these days. John is displaying considerable modesty here, the man took two strangers ( At the time) from almost exactly half way around the globe out camel hunting and it was an honour to be able to take him out hunting, if only for a morning, when he happened to visit the UK with his family. John did very well with a hellishly early start, borrowed rifle and for having never seen a roe before. By all accounts he put in a cracking stalk on a group of 9 roe, getting to within 20 yards of them crawling across a field using only a dip in the ground and patience. If we had more time my car would be full of mud by the time he left! |
