I have tried .44 300 grain Nosler bullets, without patching - fit is reasonable but not perfect. Results were about "Bierfilz" at 50 m. Maybe I should try this again with paper patches, but the barrel is quite tight (10.98 mm), maybe not enough room for proper patching of a .44 bullet.
Also tried 300 grain hard cast bullets from the German supplier RBC with 3 different diameters, results a bit better but still not convincing yet.
Best bullets I have is a supply of ca. 295 grain bullets that my father cast 30 years ago, from an original mold - unfortunately I do not have the mold.
These hold 2 inch circles at 50 m, with the occasional flyer which may not be the bullets fault.
