I think that in certain areas (not sure how widespread but not country-wide), hunters are compensated for the boar they shoot because of the contamination i.e. to prevent the meat from being consumed. Because of their diet, boar are particularly susceptible to accumulating the radioactivity because of their diet. With the boar population explosion, the number of boar shot in these areas is also increasing and therefore the compensation paid. I havenīt heard that the pollution is spreading or getting worse. |
