Ouch! That very nearly happened to me once with a large bush pig in Zim! Veered off at the last moment. All happened in a split second! Surprised it in long grass... Had I been looking for bush pigs at the time I might (might) have got a shot off if my rifle was at the ready but I'm not certain.
