Other things to do in Bavaria:

- in the centre of Munich just off the main mall (I think) there is a hunting museum and cultural centre. I remember I enjoyed it but don't remember what was in it. There is a nice bronze boar statue outside which I photographed.

- I haven't been there but in Nuremberg is a fantastic display of arms and armour. One of the best in Europe. I will visit it one day.

General tourism

- the most visited tourist site in Europe is Neuswanstein Castle (spelling?). The castle the fake disneyland castles were based on. Near Fusen in Southern Bavaria and the Austrian border. Worht taking the tour inside but also go for a walk on the forest trails outside especially to a bridge extended across a gorge. Great photography of the castle is possible.

Also visit Hollenzollen (selling?) Castle lower down the hill. This is an actual residence of the Bavaria Royalty while Neus. Castle wasn't much used.

- Bayreuth - the home of Wagnerian opera if you are into that.

- Koenig (King) Ludwig Beer in a beer hall in Fusen was very nice too.
