Hunting syndicates?
|
|
Can someone explain to me what these "syndicates" are in England? I hear the term used when it comes to hunting over there, but am not sure what it means. Is it a group of guys who rent a hunting area together? ![](/images/graemlins/confused.gif)

That's exactly what it is Erik, a group of guys who come together to rent the shooting rights on a particular piece of land. There are 8 guys in my syndicate each paying an equal share of the annual cost to rent the land.
Generally a syndicate is taken to mean a group rather than a single hunter.

I believe they put together the money to purchase single days of shooting (driven or rough) on different estates throughout the season.
