Desportes painted a wall panel there.
Note Chasseur,
Oudry became a competitor of Desportes, when he too was engaged to paint King Louis the XIVth's hunting hounds and his menagerie. Full time job for both
just to paint the King's dogs and animals.

Poortvliet, for one, and then there was a German chap who did wildlife very impressionistically. Wonderful technique! Can't remember the name, though, probably due to too much beer on a warm day!

yes Sarge Porliev is a splendid drawer. Like Chasseur I am enjoying the painteers 2 centuries ago.
I got hold of a wonderful article. I won't give YOu the name of this (sorry) French painte, but sure it's great.
