Hello Folks,

I’ve owned numerous 22 long rifle pistols and revolvers, and have never been completely satisfied. They’ve all been good, just not good enough. Some were accurate, but awkward to carry, and others just the opposite. Probably the best automatic I own is the Beretta M-76W, and my favorite revolver is the S&W M-617. I’ve long admired the S&W M-41 and the High Standard Supermatic and variations, but have never owned one.

Before I buy another, I would like to hear your opinions. Given the criteria of convenient carry, safe carry, handling qualities, and accuracy, what is the single best 22 LR pistol or revolver?
