In .22's, it is hard to beat an old S&W Model 17 in .22. Incredibly accurate, but only a 6 shooter.
Of course, one of the less expensive Ruger SA'a will fill the bill as well.
Loved my .45ACP - 7.7gr. BlueDot and 300gr. FN's, was dynamite on the 10 yard steel 'rack'. After porting the pistol,
I could "run it" in 2 seconds - be on the third one when the first one hit the stop. Those days were fun indeed - and only 40 years ago.
