Good video. Back in my hayday - 80's and 90's, I did fine with a 1911 - loved it. Could clean 6 plates in 2 seconds including the draw - 10 yards- plates were big - 8".
Yes you can hit at that speed - with a good practice regime. I suspect one of the modern sights might have helped some, too.
I just watched the front sight- never saw the rear one, unless for deliberate fire.
I don't know if I would like the wider frame - maybe? Moot point - never going to have one. I still like my wheel guns.
