Try living in a country where you can't own anything for the purpose of self defence, let alone using a handgun outside of a range. I know I would still choose a 44mag, I can guarantee you when a bear was charging I wouldn't feel any recoil. I like the revolver because it is, simpler and nothing ever goes wrong with them unless they are very badly maintained. Good for all weather and all conditions. I know, modern autos are reliable but in extreme conditions I'd still feel safer with a good revolver, and if you find yourself stuck for whatever reason you can still hunt well with it. |
