Buying a .22 RF handgun will make my life easier!

In SA the policed commissioner dictator who actually runs the state, the police have given six months grace to June from club chits to maintain a handgun licence.

Lucky for me. I attended this week an indoor competition shoot to finalise my six shoots for the year. As usual one comp with the .22 RF and one cat 3 centrefires. Used a club Walther Q5 Match in 9mm. So 3x RF shoots, and 3x cat 3 centrefire. Usually I do 7 or 8 shoots a year. A mixture of RF and CF.

BUT I didn't realise I now need 6x cat 3 shoots! Now owning my own handgun now, I need 6x comp shoots in that category. Or 4x for each category if more than one covered. Luckily the chit amnesty is in place else I would be needing to be shooting three days in a row this week.

However I have only had the pistol 2 or 3 months, does that have any effect. No matter anyway till June.

Now if I buy a .22 RF next, and they can be cheap. I could do 4 shoots a year x2, 4x Cat 2 .22 RF, and 4x Cat 3 centrefire. Only need one more attendance, at 4, 2 shoots per attendance, rather than a minimum of 6 and one or more comps each time.

Owning more guns makes life easier.

A .22 RF would be fun. New thread idea, so what should I buy?

So far I have only used a Ruger, don't know the model, but you can guess which easily. Also used a 1911 style .22 RF which was less accurate than the Rugers.

I don't mind the Rugers. Accurate easy to shoot, and cheap. I don't want to spend a lot. Would possibly like to scope the .22 RF if a semi auto.

Perhaps a REVOLVER RF?

Thoughts and suggestions, please.

I can only buy a handgun once every six months so that makes it May or June.
