Re: CZ SP01 Competition...

I used one of them at my gun club and liked it. I actually shot better with the STI Trojan, a plainer handgun.

I thought about buying one.

Not sure if it was the CZ 75 Shadow SP01 or a CZ 85 Shadow ?

When I come to getting a 9 mm I will consider one.

Are they - CZ 75 - double Action?

I would like a SIG P226 I think it is. A double Action where the trigger was quite good on the two second hand handguns I tried. Also like I think the manual decocking, cocking lever.

Also the Walther Q5 with steel frame but it is a trigger safety type with those horrible two stage triggers.

The CZ 75 is a really good choice. I think your purchase is still a CZ 75?

It is a CZ 75-- metal frame.. has good weight to it.. really wanted to shoot it at my home made pistol range at the ranch last weekend.. but ended up having to move snow with the dozer for almost 8 hours over the weekend.. its a higher wind area..so... snow banks/drifts are always forming.. we are entering the calving season.. so need the roads open to drive in and out of the calving area.. plus the hay area had about a 5ft drift across the front... Have had 4 calves in the last 2 days.. 4 down, 296 to go..

I own several CZ's..rifles and a shotgun..but have never owned a pistol .. it has an incredible trigger on it.. feels as good as many of the custom triggers I have on other pistols.. nice sight picture..

I have a Sig 226 along with numerous other Sigs including the 365 CC and a higher end model 320.. they are nice.. and work well.. the thing I don't like as much about the 226 is the higher bore axis.. I prefer the lower for quicker recovery after the shot..

Recently acquired a Walther PDP.. also have not shot it .. now sitting under the CZ in my gun room at the ranch waiting its turn..
