I neglected to mention, I still have a .38 Super (Kimber, 1911 Target II).
iirc, I'm getting just over 1300 fps, with Hornady, 124grn HAP jacketed bullets.
This is about 100fps under maximum, and it originally shot 10 shots into 2 1/2" (65mm), at 50 meters (from a Ransom rest), from this stock standard Kimber, 1911.
That in anybody's money, is pretty impressive!
