All the 1902 Parabellum Carbines were chambered in 7.65mm. It was only after WW1, during the Weimar Republic that some carbines were made in 9mm. These are referred to as 1920 Carbines.
The 1902 Carbines are built on the Old Model pattern. The 1920 Carbines are built on the New Model pattern.
Clear as mud, unless you study Lugers.
