Actually that is not quite correct. If you have a clock or watch made by a famous maker than originality of parts increases the price dramatically. A Patek Phillipe for example is worth a lot more if no parts have been replaced which Patek themselves can tell you after inspecting.

I was actually suggesting a replacement spring to use instead of the original so the Curl could shoot the gun.

Sounds like an idea for new BGRC events,"Classic Handguns of the Safari".

To add to the Howdah competition if they ever get held.

Bell had a Broomhandle Mauser. Numerous Webleys would have been floating around. A few six guns of the Yankee cowboys white hunters. A {arabellum would not be amiss.

Perhaps the "Karamojo Shoot", either shoot six zebra rapid fire or six Karamojo warriors rapid fire.

BTW Curl, a dumb questiion, is your carbine in 9mm Parabellum or 7.65 mm or ? I couldn't see if mentioned what the chambering is. I noted also a bottle neck case sitting in the pistol case.
