My go-to-the "range" hand gun is a 1970 Ruger Blackhawk .357 mag. with .38 spl. ammo.
.38 SPL. Colt Police Positive & of course my M29 4".
I usually take all 3. Plinking steel with the Ruger, some fast DA work on the plates with the Colt & plinking steel with the 44.
