Coin silver is somewhat alloyed and should be stronger than sheet, is all. The dome shape is necessary for pocket removal. Shrouded or no hammer would be good as well. As far as instinctive shooting distance goes, my team practiced to 15 yards, and during lunch times, we ran that to 25 yards, just for demonstration purposes. One of the fellows I worked with some decades ago, fired 5 shots broadside at a fleeing "suspect" car. His gun as a 2" M36? S&W. Not one bullet went through the hide of the car & no windows hit. He did hit the 60mph car 5 times though, with one bullet hitting the rear tire, went katunk in the wheel well and he walked out onto the street and picked up the damaged 158gr. RN for a souvenir. |
