A 1911 in 45 is easy to carry, us easy to control to shoot accurately and offers good protection.

A friend carries a Ruger LCP in 380 which I find very hard to shoot accurately and the bullet isn't as effective as a 45. The only reason he carries it is that it fits in his pants pocket.

I suggested that he just carry one of his 45s in a small of back holster which is easy to use (except sitting in a car).
